In Africa, we have opened a satellite office in Nigeria, the continent’s largest economy, to be closer to the areas we are active in. We have also built strong ties ‘on the ground’ across this region, forging a reliable network of over 14 trusted partners to draw specialist local expertise from.
In MENA plus and sub-Saharan Africa, we have a portfolio of over 2.5 GW under development or at the planning stage.
In Dubai, UAE, we are delivering the DP World Solar Power Programme, largest distributed solar project in the Middle East under the recently launched "Shams Dubai" net-metering initiative.
Our pipeline on the African continent exceeds 600 MW, and we are planning to deploy 150 to 200 MW per annum over the next three years.
In Nigeria, our utility-scale project portfolio totals 236 MW across the Sokoto, Jigawa and Kebbi states. The first, in Sokoto, is one of the first 14 projects awarded a PPA by the Nigerian Government.
